But CHANMONIX is more than just a store—it is a story.
The name CHANMONIX was inspired by founder Chanmony "Mony" Meas and a nickname given to him years ago by his French teacher. She would affectionately call him "Sham-Onee," explaining that it reminded her of Chamonix, a beautiful mountain region in the French Alps known for its breathtaking scenery, adventure, and timeless charm. The name stayed with him throughout the years.

Meet the Founder

HI, I'm ChanMonix. I go by Mony or ChanMony and I've always been someone who loves discovering new things, meeting new people, and finding the story behind everything.

Over the years, I've worked in technology, performed as a professional DJ, built businesses, traveled, created content, and connected with people from all walks of life. Along the way, I learned that some of the best opportunities often come from curiosity, creativity, and simply being willing to start a conversation.

The story behind CHANMONIX reflects that philosophy perfectly.

What began as a nickname from my French teacher became a reminder that life is meant to be explored. Decades later, we're still friends, and she now lives in Paris. One day, my wife Sunny and I hope to visit her, explore France together, and finally experience the mountains that inspired the name firsthand.

That sense of adventure, connection, and discovery is at the heart of everything we do.

My goal for CHANMONIX is simple: create a place where customers can discover products they love, find inspiration for everyday life, and feel connected to a brand with a genuine story behind it.
